I'm in awe and slightly obsessed by the amazing RNLI who have a launch base here in Portishead.
The professinal and logistical organisation of a launch is inspiring and in this painting I hoped to capture some of this.
This is a deeply layers and textural art work. The RNLI brand colour expressed in the painting, the elements of critical movement, the awareness of potential hazard and the chaos of the unknown which awaits these heroic individuals who are mainly volunteers. They are incredible!
